Not a bad little sushi spot! My friend recently moved to the area and we were looking for a quick/decent sushi deal while we were studying one evening and found Hirano's. They're deal (and this was on a Monday, not sure if it changes or if it's every night) was either 2 sushi rolls for $9.95 or $12 dollars for 2 rolls and some nigiri I believe. Not too bad of a deal. Also comes with soup or salad. They also had a teriyaki chicken deal for $6 bucks going on.

The restaurant is divided in two with normal dining on the right and sushi bar on the left. Sushi bar was real deal holy field with alllll the fixin's and two guys running the show in there. They make it pretty easy to order, you just put check by which rolls you want and any special requests at the bottom of the paper and give It to your waitress. Also helps to see what all comes on each roll and how many! I chose the Mexican roll and spicy avocado and in regards to the Mexican rolls it's been one of the betters ones I've had. It was great! Spicy tuna was still good however don't get me wrong. Ingredients tasted fresh and well prepared as well. The rolls were very aesthetic and done craftily and well. Nothing worse than poorly rolled sushi.

Decent spot and I can't say that I wouldn't be back! It's convenient location, only hard thing is there so many good spots to eat in such close vicinity at Habersham village! Don't miss this one tho, it's hidden but worth the hunt!

We've been here like a handful (or a little over) of times, and it sort of felt like it got worse each time. Why did we go back? The sushi is good and decently priced, so I can't complain there--and that's even with the price increase. But it got to the point where we consistently waited over 40 mins (yes, I'm serious) to get the rolls we ordered. It started feeling like a waste of money just from how long we would wait and how infrequent they'd come and check on us. Ordering more sushi felt like a pain because we had to ask ourselves if we had another 30-40 mins to spare. The place is small, but I've seen it both at a busy and slow time; no difference in service. Unfortunately, I don't know how the other side of this place is, but I don't care to find out. Not a fan of feeling forgotten at a table or like I'm expected to pay immediately after I'm done eating.

Bottom line: the quality is good, but the overall experience is mediocre. If you don't mind waiting super long for food, then you won't have any complaints.

Nothing but goodness served up here, year after year. I remember when the chicken teriyaki meal was $2.95 - ha ha. This is a Savannah staple for my wife and I. Friendly people and great food at a fabulous price - what more can you want? Our go to is the shrimp and beef combination meal with the sesame salad. Price is the same for lunch or dinner, so great affordable dinner spot.

    October 6, 2018 Saturday - 7:30 PM for a dinner
    1 adult and a teenager

    Atmosphere - 5 stars
    Food - 5 stars
    Service - 4 stars

Background - My daughter loves sushi but only gets it when I am able to take her.

Atmosphere - Two restaurant at one address.  Go in the one door than head immediately to the left door for the sushi restaurant.  We sat at the bar and thing that jumped out to me was that it was not a high top bar but regular table height.

    Food
     Drinks - A 22 ounce Sapporo.

Dinner - Sushi rolls, five of them.  Four rolls in the first round.  My daughter was still hungry so we ordered our fifth roll, this was the one that stood out the most.  Not many tempura rolls on the menu, and we had both.  The Tempura roll was the best roll of the night and would order that again.

Service - I love the large checklist sheet for ordering.  I just wish the sheet matched the menu.  Our chef was very helpful.

    Future - Yes.

This place used to be good, but my recent dinner was awful. My sushi (Hamichi, Tako, and Ikura) were all soggy and definitely not fresh.  My Calimari was also greasy and over-cooked. The service was erratic, and the appetizers and entrees each came out at different times. Very disappointing, and I will not return.
